Our goal is to build a thriving caregiver workforce that is self-sustaining and will provide support to our community, as well as successful business opportunities and careers pathways for residents of the Methow Valley.

About

Methow Valley Community Caregivers is newly updated resource for finding in-home caregivers in our community. Our goal is to become a thriving group of like-minded caregivers who are dedicated to providing quality care to all Methow Valley residents. Currently we are a resource for finding in-home caregivers and connecting them to those in need of care. We hope to continue to grow and evolve as we recruit more caregivers.

We are working diligently to recruit and train more caregivers as the Methow Valleys need for in-home care increases rapidly. This more organized process of recruiting and connecting caregivers is the direct result of grant provided by HRSA to a group of Methow Valley organizations, non-profits, and individuals who recognized the need for more aging support on our community.

As our community ages and grows we need to have an ever-evolving community of caregivers who are trusted to provide quality care in residential homes.

Meet the Team

Mallory is the community caregiver liaison for the Methow Valley, she works hand in hand with a larger group of motivated individuals who are trying to create a sustainable and dynamic aging support system in the Methow Valley.

Mallory grew up in the Methow Valley and has been involved in elder care since she was a child. Her mother Sheila helped start Jamie’s Place Adult Family Home and then worked as the administrator and nurse for most of her adolescence, so Mallory grew up around elders at Jamie’s Place and had first-hand experience with residents there. Later on, she worked at Jamie’s Place as a caregiver and eventually became a manager of Jamie’s Place. Mallory has also worked as a community caregiver before transitioning into the caregiver liaison role and working behind the scenes to recruit and train caregivers. Mallory obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a focus on mental health, a great asset when building a strong support system for caregivers and families in need of care. Mallory’s goal is to build a self-sustaining network of qualified caregivers who have all the resources and support they need to build a strong community that will provide care for decades to come.

Mallory lives in Twisp, WA with her fiancé and two dogs!
